  • Review Good value for money
Great find in central London at a great price. Friendly if quickly reception and a quiet room facing out back on third floor. 5 mins from Paddington UG and a 20 mins walk to Royal Albert Hall through Kensington Gardens.
Clean and tidy bathroom and shower.
Great continental self-service breakfast with hard boiled eggs (still warm!) bread, croissants, toast, cheeses and jams as well as cereals and healthy stuff.Great for a night out or late meetings.

    What a nice little hideaway.
Absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so friendly
Reception was in a class of their own. Nothing was impossible for them. Lovely breakfast. Best continental breakfast we have ever seen. We thought the room was quite nice and the bed was very comfy. Definitely going back..

  • Reasonable hotel with a good breakfast in a convenient location.
+ “The location near Paddington Station and Hyde Park was excellent; the staff were efficient and friendly and we enjoyed a very nice continental breakfast.”
    - Top floor room was a good size but the window was so old it let in a fair bit of traffic noise. Also there was a mysterious intermittent plumbing noise throughout the night which disturbed our sleep somewhat.

  • A pleasant stay at the Paddington Hotel.
+ "Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant helpful staff, adequate breakfast and fantastically situated."
    - Room could benefit from better ventilation as it was a little warm.

  • Great price value ratio on perfect location!
+ "Big room, comfortable bed, fridge, facilities to make coffee; tea. Very friendly and helpful staff.Great location. We had a room on the ground floor and had great wifi signal."
    - The bathroom is rather small. The choice for breakfast is somewhat limited. (not applicable for us: there's no lift, and no wifi if not on the first floor)

  • Want a good location and do you want to compromise on quality? This is something for you!
    + "- Near 2 underground-stations (2 min. walk) - Near Hyde Park (<1 min. walk)"
    - the room was far from level - the bathroom was too small, some basics were missing - the building needs some maintenance

  • It's OK
    Convenience and staff
Very convenient with access to Paddington and plenty of cafes etc around. The hotel is very tired and needs a very good lick of paint. My shower-room was a bit smelly. No lift so do not have heavy bags or else ask for a ground floor room. Back rooms were very quiet and bed was very comfortable and clean

    “Good Hotel in Good Location”

I booked this hotel at the last minute due to a change in travel plans and considering the price I paid it wasn't bad at all. It wasn't the Hilton, but then I didn't pay Hilton prices, so that wasn't what I expected :)

It's about a 5 - 10 mins walk from Paddington station and it's easy to find (2 straight roads). It's also about a 2 min walk to Lancaster Gate tube and the same to the park.

I arrived quite late, but the reception were very efficient and quick and got me checked in without any issue.

Unfortunately I was on the top floor, which meant a lot of stairs, 117 to be exact (yes I counted them), but it is stated that there is no lift so it's the chance you take :)

Reading some of the previous reviews I was a little bit worried about what I would find, but the room was a good sized double room and very clean. The bathroom was small but had everything you needed and the shower was amazingly good!

There was ample tea and coffee and lots of milk in the fridge. The furniture was a little bit tired looking, but the bed was comfy and I got a good nights sleep as it wasn't that noisy, but then I was in London and noise is to be expected.

The breakfast that was included was actually really good. Different juices, lots of choice of cereals, different jams and cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, toast and croissants. Not much more you would need really. Everything looked nice and fresh and what I ate was good.

It did feel strange to have to leave your key at reception when you went out, but then they are proper keys not cards, so to be honest I wouldn't want to carry it about.

All in all a good little hotel with everything you need and really convenient to everything. I would stay there again, but hopefully on a lower floor :)

    “Great little hotel”

Does exactly what a hotel should for the price it is. It is in a superb location with regards to accessing central London and it quietly located. Given I was on crutches and had not notified the hotel prior, they changed the hotel room without request which was a nice touch. The room itself is clean and spacious and the breakfast better than most places with a decent selection. The staff are friendly and willing to help which overall made for a great stay!
